In the 123-3D help centre, we answer all your questions about 3D software and printer settings, problems you may experience during or after 3D printing and other 3D-related topics.
What is 3D modelling software?
3D modelling software is understood to mean the programs needed to design a 3D object. With this software, it is possible to make a mathematical representation of your design. This means that you can draw the height, width and depth of your design using the 3D modelling software.
How do you make a 3D design?
A 3D design consists of a number of points at the x, y and z coordinates. The more detailed the object you want to print, the more points the design will contain. With 3D design software, you can view the different views of the design to see if the design is complete. So you can view the front view, side view, top view and perspective view. There are many tutorial videos on YouTube to help you create a 3D design along the way.
The tables below provide an insight into 3D modelling software for each level of experience. Would you like more detailed information about the mentioned software? Then view our page about choosing 3D model software.
