What are the benefits of a 3D printer at school?

3D printers are used in different phases of education. This is increasingly being chosen at an early stage, for example in primary and secondary education. By introducing students to 3D printing early, they will be introduced to the world of technology while learning. 3D printing has an extensive preparatory process, namely devising and designing. Then they start testing and elaborating, before moving on to the step using the created object and improving it. As a result, work is not only done on technical development, but also on creativity and spatial insight, among other things.

What are disadvantages of a 3D printer at school?

One of the disadvantages of 3D printing is that professional 3D drawing programs are complicated to use. There are also programs that are simpler to plug in, but they do not have all the functions. Due to the wide choice of 3D software and the differences in its usability, it is difficult to choose the right program. There are now a number of platforms that help schools deploy 3D printers as part of their curriculum.
