Which 3D printers are suitable for beginners?

Would you like to purchase a 3D printer but you are new to the world of 3D printing? Then you may feel overwhelmed by the wide and versatile range of 3D printers during the orientation process.

To support you in making the right choice, we have made a handy overview with points of interest and a list of the top 5 3D printers for beginners.

What should I pay attention to when choosing my 3D printer?

When choosing your 3D printer, the following points play an important role:
  • Which material or filament type do you want to 3D print with?
  • How big will your 3D objects be?
  • Will you be 3D printing with one or more colours at the same time?
  • Are you technically skilled?
When you are going to buy a 3D printer, it is important to know which material you want to print with. With a high melting temperature, you need a 3D printer with a heated bed. The size and colour of the 3D object to be printed are also important. Resin printers generally have a smaller print surface than FFF/FDM printers. If you want to print multiple colours at the same time, you should purchase a dual extruder 3D printer.

In addition, your technical knowledge also plays a role. If you do not have any technical knowledge, it is best to choose a plug-and-print or resin 3D printer where you can start printing almost immediately. Are you an enthusiastic hobbyist and/or technically skilled? Then an easy to assemble 3D printer kit is also an excellent option.
