Bambu Lab AMS - Automatic Material System

Description Open a world of new, creative possibilities with Bambu Lab AMS. This makes it possible to print with different colours and materials. This allows you to easily print supports from fragile or soluble material, so you have to spend less time on post-processing.

Intelligent system
The AMS uses an intelligent system including a 32-bit MCU and a smart algorithm. It detects when the filament runs out and has a filament backup system. This system ensures a smooth transition to a new spool, allowing the 3D printer to continue printing undisturbed. This way you can print much easier and more efficiently and no unused filament remains on the spool.

The AMS also detects whether the filament has become tangled. At that point it will stop printing so you can solve the problem. By using Bambu Lab filaments, the AMS can identify which rolls of filament you have added. For filaments that are not from Bambu Lab, it is necessary to manually enter which filaments they are in Bambu Studio.

Always dry
The housing is airtight and absorbs moisture by means of a desiccant. A humidity sensor monitors the humidity in the AMS and gives you a signal when it is too high or when the desiccant needs to be replaced. This keeps your filament dry and always in optimal condition for good prints.

Up to 16 colours
If you want to print with more than 4 different materials or colours, you can do this by connecting multiple AMS. By using an AMS hub, you can print up to 16 colours and different filaments at the same time. Please note: you do not receive this hub as standard.

Description The AMS First Stage Feeder is specially designed to support the AMS for printing multiple colours and materials.

Each AMS has 4 first stage feeders, and each first stage feeder has its own motor and gears to actively push the filament forward or wind it back to the spool.

The first stage feeder has a sensor to detect filament. When a filament is inserted, the first stage feeder will pull the filament automatically. When a filament needs to be winded back, the first stage feeder will drive the AMS driving sleeve to rotate the spool for filament winding.

Description The hotend cooling fan is used to cool and reduce the temperature of the ceramic heater. The cooling fan for hotend has an auto-shutoff function while being locked at rated voltage for 1-3 seconds. The circuit attempts to restart in 2 to 6 seconds. There is no damage after 72 hours of locking. The cooling fan is a high-speed rotating part, so do not touch it while it is running.

Please confirm your printer model before making a purchase, as the connector may differ between the X1 Series version and the P1P version.
