Warranty conditions

Warranty period

At 123-3D.ie we can assure you our products meet the highest quality standards.

Every product comes with a standard guarantee. Guarantee means that a product is or must do what the consumer can reasonably expect from it if not we have the obligation to repair (in the first instance) or replace.

According to the EU Distance Selling Directive, You (the consumer) are protected by several safeguards and entitlements. Ink Maestro Limited is committed to complying with this directive. As a consumer you are entitled to a fourteen-day 'cooling-off period', whereby you are entitled to return your purchase to us for any reason* within fourteen days of receipt of same, and be refunded the price that you paid. This safeguard applies only where the products in question are unopened, unused, undamaged, and returned to us in full saleable condition. Charges for return-shipment must be borne by the purchaser.

* 'Specials', custom items or personalised items, once accepted by you as such, can not be returned to us.

Items that fall outside the 14 day cooling-off period will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Ink Maestro reserves the right to decline to accept returns and/or to levy a re-stocking fee.

You are of course always entitled to the legal guarantee.

But in addition, 123-3D.ie offers even more guarantees on various items:
  • You receive a lifetime warranty on 123-3D.ie own-brand products (replacement of a defective product)
  • You receive a 12-month warranty on 3D printer parts (repair or replacement of defective product subject to approval by our technical team. Certain exclusions apply)
  • You receive the manufacturer's warranty on defects in original products.
  • 3D printers: our own technical department handles the warranty handling of all 3D printers. Some exclusions apply for wear and tear parts (but not too many!)
Warranty procedure

We understand it can be frustrating if a product does not work or does not work properly. Always consult the user manual of your device for possible troubleshooting first, however we are always on hand to help by the contact details on our website.

If a product does not work properly immediately after receipt, you should inform us of this as soon as possible. In this case, please contact our customer service team for troubleshooting as we may be able to sort the issue via email or phone. If the product does turn out to be defective, we will always propose a solution. We are also happy to advise you if you have purchased an article elsewhere.

If you wish to send an item to us for warranty, please follow these steps:
  • Request an RMA number from our customer service team within the warranty period.
  • Please return the defective item to us as soon as possible and no later than 14 days after the RMA number has been issued. You will receive a free return number for the shipment.
  • Please pack the warranty item properly, in its original packaging where possible.
  • The warranty shipment must clearly include a note with address details and telephone number as well as a description of the problem and the RMA number. Please also include a copy of the proof of purchase.
  • The consumer bears the risk for the return shipment, we therefore advise to send the package by registered mail and to keep the proof of shipment, so that you can claim any loss from your carrier. (carriage may be covered by ourselves depending on return reason eg, defective on arrival)
For the exact situations in which the warranty applies and exclusions, please see the Warranty article of our General Terms and Conditions. Click here for our General Terms and Conditions.
